Getting Started
How does Resalent work?
Resalent analyzes data from Apple Health (sleep, HRV, heart rate, activity), your calendar, and weather to find the optimal moment for each habit. Instead of reminding you at a fixed time, it detects when your body and schedule are aligned — a "resonance point."
What is the learning period?
During the first 7 days, Resalent collects data about your patterns without showing a resonance score. You'll see "learning · day X of 7" on your habit cards. After the learning period, the app starts providing personalized timing recommendations based on your actual data.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Resalent works with iPhone only. However, if you have an Apple Watch, the app will use richer data (real-time HRV, detailed sleep stages) for more accurate resonance scores.
Permissions
What data does Resalent access?
With your permission, Resalent reads:
- Apple Health — sleep, HRV, heart rate, active energy, workouts, menstrual cycle (opt-in)
- Calendar — busy/free times only (not event titles or details)
- Location — approximate, for weather data only
- Notifications — to alert you at resonance points
All data stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I use the app without granting HealthKit access?
Yes. Resalent works without HealthKit, but with limited functionality. Without health data, the app will use your calendar and preferred times to suggest habit windows. The resonance score will be less precise.
How do I change permissions after setup?
Go to your iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security. From there you can manage access for Health, Calendars, Location, and Notifications individually for Resalent.
Resonance Score
What does the resonance score mean?
The resonance score (0–100) indicates how well your current state aligns with a specific habit. A high score means your body, schedule, and environment are in sync for that activity. It's not a "health score" — it's specific to each habit.
Why is my score low?
A low resonance score can mean:
- Poor sleep the night before
- Low HRV indicating physical stress
- A packed calendar with no free windows
- Weather conditions unsuitable for outdoor habits
The app will suggest waiting for a better moment or offer an alternative habit that fits your current state.
Can I still do a habit when the score is low?
Absolutely. You are always in control. The resonance score is a suggestion, not a restriction. Tap "do it anyway" to complete any habit regardless of the score. Resalent will learn from your overrides to refine future suggestions.

Data & Privacy
Where is my data stored?
All your data is stored exclusively on your device. There are no user accounts, no cloud sync, and no server-side storage. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed.
Is my health data shared with anyone?
No. Your health data is never shared with third parties, used for advertising, or transmitted off your device. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
How do I delete all my data?
Delete the Resalent app from your device. Since all data is stored locally, this permanently removes everything. Your health data in Apple Health is not affected — it remains in Apple Health regardless.
Troubleshooting
The app shows "no data" for sleep or HRV
This usually means:
- HealthKit permission was not granted — check Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Resalent
- No sleep/HRV data is being recorded — you may need an Apple Watch or a compatible sleep tracking app
- Data hasn't synced yet — HealthKit can take a few minutes to update after waking up
Notifications are not arriving
Check the following:
- Notifications are enabled: Settings > Notifications > Resalent
- Focus mode is not blocking Resalent notifications
- The app has not been force-quit — iOS limits background activity for force-quit apps
The resonance score seems inaccurate
The score improves over time as the app learns your patterns. If you're in the first 7 days (learning period), the score is not yet shown. After that, it takes 2–3 weeks of regular use for the algorithm to calibrate well. Using the "hard/good" feedback after each habit helps the app learn faster.
